Los Miserables

I loved going to this play with several friends and members of my family, especially since my closest friend was able to come! It was the Spanish version of the internationally known play Les Misérables, and oh...
So tragic, yet so historically true! Enjoyed every minute of it!

Cosette, again. Victor Hugo's Les Misérables' book cover.
Oh, I can't say how thankful I am for that afternoon and night! I had spent the afternoon catching up with my friend in Barcelona, and after a quick supper, went to meet the rest of the people in front of the theaters. It was a lovely night! The music was so good! The accompanying orchestra was beautiful, and the voices were very well chosen, too. Oh, what a night! :)

Pokarekare Ana

This is a beautiful but tragic Maori song. I do not understand the lyrics, but the melody is melancholic enough... :')

God of Wonders

"When I see thy heavens, the work of thy fingers, the moon and stars, which thou hast established; what is man, that thou art mindful of him? and the son of man, that thou visitest him?"
Psalm 8:3-4

Every time I watch this documentary on God's wonderful creation and how He reveals himself in everything that surrounds us I am awed, amazed, intimidated, overwhelmed at how incredibly incredible He is. He is so out of our human understanding! Isaiah 55:8-9 "For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith Jehovah. For [as] the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts."
Even so, God still loves us and cherishes our love! He provided a way through our Lord Jesus so that we could have a personal relationship with Him! What a wonderful thought!

Google

When one is tired and has a lot of work ahead of her, it's awesome to open google.com and find it as it is. It brings a smile to her lips and cheers her up a bit. :)

Sunrise

Directing you to my Photo Blog...

Oh, my word! My sister, her best friend and I walked up a rocky, wooded hill in the darkness to photograph the sunrise. It was beautiful, so much worth it! Maybe, hopefully, I'll repeat the experience again someday. :P

Recent Sewing Project

I quite believe I'm going to sew myself a dress like this for New Year's...

What do you think? If you add a pale knitted cardigan and pale or fuchsia round high heels, it would be quite elegant and very lady-like, I'm sure!

Baby Harold ♥
I was able to take a couple of pictures of Baby Harold while I was in Madrid last November. He is a very beautiful baby!

Lingering

Today I've done something I never get to do:

Yeah, haha! It has taken me ten minutes to get out of bed today. :P Twice I've told myself, "Five more minutes! ¬o¬" It felt good to be able to do that... I had to get ready for a lesson at half past ten, so I got up at quarter to ten. It turned out, though, that the little boy is ill, so no classes today. :(

I am going to be very busy this following week. I'm going to do a project marathon... besides my usual weekend chores, I will use all my free time to advance as much as possible in my Investigation Project, because I do not want to spend my whole Christmas holidays working on it (as the school schedule has planned it). Instead, I am planning on using those holidays to add the last details and complete the photo-journal I'm including with the project. This way, I will also be able to relax and spend time with my family and some friends.

Back to work! Have a wonderful weekend! :D ♥

Candles

"Jesus bids us shine with a pure clear light, like a little candle burning in the night! In this world of darkness we must shine, you in your small corner, and I in mine!"

"You are the light of the world. A city that is set on a hill cannot be hidden. Nor do they light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on a lampstand, and it gives light to all who are in the house. Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven."
Matthew 5:14-16

Teruel

Last summer my family and I spent our holidays in Bronchales. Since it was comparatively near to the place where we were staying, my parents took us all to Teruel one day. As I was thinking about my summer pictures this afternoon, I realized I had never really shared any pictures on this blog.

Thus this post. :) Here are some of my favourite pictures!

I am not sure which building this was, but in this picture it was viewed from Teruel's Museum.

This is the fountain at the top of Teruel's stairs, steps, whatever you call a long sequence of stairs in the middle of the city.

A nice square we stumbled upon during our walk...

iLov rust and old. :)

Second the motion

Third the motion, although there isn't much rust here.

My friends, this tower isn't leaning because of the picture's angle or because of an optical effect. It was really leaning!

I thought this was a very sweet sign! Nithe thnail!

Another beautiful tower in Teruel. It had so many, and so beautiful! This one was the tallest, I believe.

A comfy, picturesque spot we found while walking back to the car park.
There's a lot more, but for now, I will leave it at that! Enjoy, dear reader, whoever you are... [smile]

Laugh

You will have to forgive me, but I can't help laughing every time I watch this video. It's too funny!

Have a laugh. :)

I again stole borrowed it from a friend...

Yesterday Once More

When I was young I’d listened to the radio,
Waitin’ for my favorite songs,
When they played I’d sing along,  it made me smile...

Those were such happy times, and not so long ago
How I wondered where they’d gone,
But they’re back again, just like a long lost friend
All the songs I loved so well!

Every sha-la-la-la, every wo-wo-wo still shines...
Every shing-a-ling-a-ling that they’re starting to sing's so fine!
When they get to the part where he’s breakin’ her heart
It can really make me cry - just like before...

It’s yesterday once more.

Lookin’ back on how it was in years gone by
And the good times that I had, makes today seem rather sad.
So much has changed...

It was songs of love that I would sing to, then
And I’d memorize each word
Those old melodies still sound so good to me as they melt the years away...

Every sha-la-la-la, every wo-wo-wo still shines...
Every shing-a-ling-a-ling that they’re starting to sing's so fine!
All my best memories come back clearly to me.
Some can even make me cry - just like before...

It’s yesterday once more.

Note: the lyrics of this song do not apply to how I view my today. [wink]

Stealing

I have been stealing borrowing songs from friends/family that happen to listen to that song or share it while I'm arround. They end up hating it, most of the times, because I listen to it and sing it/hum it all the time after that...

They're mostly simple songs that somehow call my attention because this small detail or that small sound. One second can make one three minute song perfect! This song, Dragón Rojo, I got from my brother. The guitar piece is so good and melancholic! It brings back memories. ^^

This song I got from a friend who probably doesn't even know I got it from him. He doesn't even check my blog, so I doubt he'll ever know that I so enjoyed this version of Bridge Over Troubled Waters. Oh, I reeeeally like men choirs.

This is a somewhat random post, but I hope you enjoy the songs as much as I do!

Battle at F-Stop Ridge

Have you ever considered photographers as possible crazy people? My older brother showed me a vid this morning that could possibly confirm that theory... it's worth the watching!
