Bible Camp. Part Three

We woke up Saturday morning thinking sadly, “Today is the last day”. But our thoughts quickly changed when we got out of bed, because it was so cold! Laughing, chatting and waking up everybody who was still asleep, we dressed and went down, where the boys already were. They had woken up earlier than us, for once! *Grin*. We sat with them by the fireplace, and, as always, just talked.
That day breakfast was special because we didn’t use plates. We ate our bread and jam on paper handkerchiefs, and only used cups, and maybe spoons, who needed them. For us the “plate washers” (it was also my turna that moring) this was very helpful because, even thought they were many, we only had to wash cups and spoons. It was a help! *Smile*
After breakfast and the morning devotion came the “BIG Clean Up”. We had to clean everything as usual, but this time we also had to pack up out suitcases, fold blankets and sleeping bags, tidy the bedroom and bunkbeds, and leave everything ready to leave. *Sigh*
That day’s outing was a visit to a man who lived in the villeage ten minutes away. This man had a tremendous collection of over 3,000 fossiles! We went there walking. It was such a beautiful and fresh morning! I enjoyed that walk very much. Some of us even collected some mandarins before leaving, and on our way we ate and ate mandarins.
Before visiting the collection, we stopped at a very nice park which had a cute little pond, and in the pond was swimming peacefully a beautiful white swan! Oh, it was so pretty! He ate our mandarin peels, and seemed to like it, too. But, beware if he caught your hand! He snatched the peels from our hands with no care at all, the unmannered swan… *grin* One almost got bitten by it!
A bit further down there was a true park, with swings, see-saw, slides and all. My friend and I (who is called just like me, and since we have the same name, we have the same personality *grin*), which, when we’re together we’re known as Double Trouble, quickly went to the swing and had a great time seeing who reached higher. I enjoy swinging so much!
After a while we went to visit the fossile collection, and it was so amazing to see so many of them together, and all of them a diffrent shape. God’s creation is truly awesome.
It was a very nice visit, and I learned new things that day.
It was already lunch time by then, so we walked back to the mill. We were still far from it when we could already smell a delicious “paella” being made (not really… *grin*). The table was even layed when we arrived (we did use plates this time), so we only had to sit and wait for a while until lunch was ready. So the “Double Trouble” went to the high wall and sat there, eating mandarins and talking. Ahh… such memories!
Lunch was delicious. I always say that food tastes better in the country-side. *Grin* Didn’t I enjoy it! It was really something to remember. I won’t ever forget that Bible Camp!
After lunch and dishes I went out to play badminton and talk and hang around with friends before the afternoon study. We also had to bring all our suitcases and all our stuff outside by the tent – wich the boys were already packing. It made me feel a little sad to see everybody preparing to go.
At the Study time, we all went inside and sat, as usual, on the wood benches. We again sang with the two guitars, and then ML started the Study. We read on 1st Corinthians 3:16, 6:19 and 2nd Corinthians 6:14-18, and talked about how we were the temple of God “and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in us”. ML told us by many diffrent examples how we shouldn’t destroy a body which He made perfect for us. It was really interesting indeed.
After the closing prayer we all went, once again, outside, but the “Double Trouble” and another went to the back field behind the mill and lyed down on the fresh, green and tender grass, in the sun, and talked. We stayed there for about an hour and a half, chatting about everything, and enjoying the fresh afternoon. I even felt drowsy! *smile*
But everything comes to an end, and soon we were called to go back to the mill. All together we prayed and thanked God for such a nice time we had had, and then friends started to go home.
Bible Camp, Autumn 2007 had ended. I won’t ever forget those three days I spent at the mill with such dear friends, and hope we can repeat it! I had such a blessed time. I loved it.

End of the third day and of the story.

I did indeed enjoy myself, Anders!

Well, Bethany, it depends on the year!

Wow... the description of your bible camp sounds almost exactly like the one I went to, particularly about the cold and the mandarins.
Lol. :)
