A New Specimen

It was surprising to find this new kind of flower among the ones we bought!
(For those who are wondering, those are flavoured yoghurt...)

The Heavens Declare The Glory Of God

Well, people, here are the pictures I promised! I took these after the storm, but it was more or less the same during the storm.

Yellow clouds of an electric storm... such cracks after huge lightning!

It was awesome because during the whole storm the other end of the valley kept clear and we had such a beautiful sunset.

More stormy clouds...

I really enjoy storms, they give such a feeling of... activity!

Being Friends

The cats are back! Yes, they are back. If you don't know their story, please click here. After that, we gave the two females to a family who are great friends of mine, but this summer they've gone to the USA and couldn't take the two cats with them, so here they are again for seven weeks!
At first it was terribly funny to see them together because Scotty was awfully jealous of them and they were all the time fighting, but now they are very good friends, thankfully! Here are some pictures I took a couple of days ago of them eating together. =)

It was something wow to see them all eating together!

Their tales kept moving; it was very funny!

A closer look... Nuba at the left, Aluya in the middle and Scotty at the right.

I like this picture... Mummy says Aluya (centre) is a very feminine cat. She eats slowly, and always walks with such a grace, carefully placing each paw in its place. It's hilarious!

Once Nuba is done with her share, she usually shoos Aluya and eats her food. We suspect Nuba is expecting. It's going to be fun!

And here we have two friends enjoying my company... or should I say the opposite? =P

We had an awesome thunderstorm on Friday, and I was able to take some pictures of the after-storm... so stay tuned!

Interesting

My sister did a project on how music affects the cells' growth in general, and here are some of the pictures I took of the results.

This plant grew up "listening" to metal (Ramstein) music.

This one grew up in silence.

And finally, this one grew up "listening" to classical music.

All of the pictures were taken the same day on the same time. What does this suggest to you?

Unexpected Answer

I'd been looking forward to that for a long time. My friend had finally healed from a broken knee and we would be able to go ice-skating with a group of friends! We had been planning that outing since January. Then, she'd had an accident and the trip was postponed till her leg healed.
And so, she healed, and phoned me telling me that there was already a date to go ice-skating. I was so excited! I love ice-skating, and this would be special because one, I would go with friends I hadn't seen for like more than six months, and two, we were going to ice-skate in the Barça ice-skating ring!! So yes, it was going to be special.
Then my Dad pointed out, "But we have prayer meeting that afternoon...". So I asked what was better to do (which now appears pretty obvious to me, but didn't then), and he left the decision for me to make. I know that I should have decided right then and there, but for two days I struggled with it. Missing ice-skating would be missing all that which I've explained earlier, plus I would probably never have another opportunity like it.
After two days I was talking to my Mummy, and she pointed out, "I know it's a difficult decision, but it should have been instant, girl," and so I decided to stay and go to prayer meeting. I knew I was doing the right thing, but I felt disappointed and bitter at missing such a wonderful opportunity with my friends.
Next day when we finished the meeting, I went upstairs to my bedroom to do some work. I had plenty of these calendar papers with thoughts and verses that I had to organise and choose from, and so I sat down on my desk and started reading them. I still felt bad about having missed the ice-skating.
Then something quite unexpected happened. I picked up one of the papers, and read, "...we're quick to absent ourselves from the gatherings of the saints for the most inconsequential reasons[...]. Often we assume we won't be missed - our text suggests otherwise! Empty seats don't have the ability to worship or fellowship - saints who fill those seats do." (W. H. Gustafson).
This text struck me, and made me think a lot. After reading it again and ponder about it, I realised the feeling of bitterness had left and I didn't mind having missed the ice-skating at all!! I realised too then the importance of worshipping.
After reading that little piece of paper with ink on it, I felt so blessed. And a good lesson was learnt too.

I Heart Chocolate

Seriously.

Wistful

I would be at the beach right now, lying on the fresh sand and barefoot. I'd grab some sand with my hand and let it trickle through my fingers, enjoying the salty breeze play around with it and with my hair. I'd be watching the stars twinkling above me, or the moon mirroring herself on the sea, while listening to the white crested waves crash on the shore, splashing my face and feet...

Misc Of Pics

Hello, everyone! [smile]
I was just browsing around my memory card, which is full, by the way, and thought I would share these pictures with you. I know some are random, silly or really without any kind of sense, but I hope you don't mind... [wink]

I know... this one is scary. But I really like it!

Just some roses our neighbour gave us girls...

The beauty of a Roman construction... ah, I really enjoy those visits!

Okay, so far this one is my favourite! Being silly with my sister, and playing our tin whistles. My Papa took this picture, and I think it's hilarious.

Ladybird! I was delighted to discover the first ladybird this Spring, and while taking pictures of it I discovered there was tons of them! So there is more coming...

Fluffiness... I just love these weeds. I think they are so... well, fluffy.

So we knew who the culprit was... [grin]

Super random, I know... I think a friend took it by surprise, and I like it... :P

Picturesque Spot

Spending time with my best friend, and taking walks, we ended up at this place... it was empty and solitary. As usual I had my camera with me, so I started experimenting. I liked how this picture came out.

Gracias, S., para posar. ^^

Secondary School Graduate

I still can't believe it. I'm actually finished with Secondary School! I was talking to a friend a couple of days ago, and told her how happy I was the finals were over. Then she asked me, "How does it feel to be a Secondary School Graduate?"
The thought struck me like a slap.

I am a Secondary School Graduate.

It feels both great and awful. I sometimes think now how I would like to be that little girl in pigtails and frilly dresses that used to run around and talk to everyone. I am growing up, I am actually turning into a young lady. Yikes!!!

A couple of weeks ago, I so wanted to be over with everything and start vacations. I thought about summer, warmth, free time, etc., but as the day grew closer I became aware of something. School has turned out to be such an important part of my life!!
Most importantly, I learnt things, but I have such great friends and teachers over there, and so many lovely memories. I had an awesome time with them, and I miss them already.
And now it's over. I'll be starting college next year. Many of my class mates will be gone and it won't be the same. I just feel kind of... empty. Things change as time passes by, I know... but... I sometimes don't like change.
I want to thank all those people that made this school year so awesome.
