What's Our Vector, Victor?

You know that when the first lesson in Linear Algebra on your online course quotes this clip (below, in bold), it's going to be worth it.

Roger: Flight 2-0-9'er, you are cleared for take-off.
Cpt. Oveur: Roger!
Roger: Huh?
Tower voice: L.A. departure frequency, 123 point 9'er.
Cpt. Oveur: Roger!
Roger: Huh?
Victor: Request vector, over.
Cpt. Oveur: What?
T.v.: Flight 2-0-9'er cleared for vector 324.
Roger: We have clearance, Clarence.
Cpt. Oveur: Roger, Roger. What's our vector, Victor?
T.v.: Tower's radio clearance, over!
Cpt. Oveur: That's Clarence Oveur. Over.
T.v.: Over.
Cpt. Oveur: Roger.
Roger: Huh?
T.v.: Roger, over!
Roger: What?
Cpt. Oveur: Huh?
Victor: Who?

Printed...

...and ready to go! Ladies and gentleman, my project is 100% complete! My parents took it to print this morning, and now it's all nice and bound. This afternoon we received the printed photojournal, too, so I'm ready for next Monday! ^^

Today I had my last exam, which went not really sure how it went well enough, I suppose. The freedom I felt this afternoon after lunch!

On top of that, I'm getting ready to go out tonight with friends for a birthday celebration at one of my favourite restaurants (not too fancy, but very cozy. plus the owners are lovely people!). This week has been so productive, and I am so happy and thankful about how everything has run smoothly. Thanks to those who've been praying for me!

Toodles!

Leaves

How beautiful can a simple leaf be? Have you ever heard about the leaf nerves forming a natural fractal?

How thankful I am for a helpful little brother (the leaves are his art!), a helpful Papa (he scanned the leaf drawings for me while I was busy working!), and a good scanner!

...starting to see the light at the end of the tunnel...!

21 Spirals

I'm so excited that this experiment came out well! I found a daisy with 21 spirals in its center! It took me for ever to draw the spirals and count them... (not really, but it felt like it! Whew!)

In addition, pinecones also have a Fibonacci number of spirals! Isn't it fascinating?

Final Race

This is actually how I looked yesterday night,
and how my desk is looking like right now. :P
Yes, I'm into the final race. Meaning I start my finals on Monday.

I'll be done with school on Friday the 3rd!

As of now, I'm studying hard, enjoying the weather, staying happy, munching on dried nuts and cold drinks, and man, ain't I thankful for a joyful attitude towards non-stop studying! [smile]

Just one week, and I'll start summer vacations. Yay! I hope my final exams go well, so I'd appreciate if you could pray about them. I have had an amazing time in school, but I'm ready for some free time to do my own projects. I have so many things planned for this summer! I'm very excited about it.

Have a nice weekend!

Quick Update

For those who, even though I don't check blogs anymore, are still here with me and my blog, commenting and even awarding! Yes, thank you Gwyniver and Lib! :D
My life has been pretty busy till today, and it's getting busier by the minute. Just at this moment I'm writing an update for you, I should be studying Catalan, re-looking the Chemistry paper and doing a couple of Biology things! So appreciate it. :P
The big news, and I mean, BIG NEWS, is that I finally have my camera! My new camera. The camera my parents promised me for my birthday. It's a Canon EOS 1000D. I got it on Friday night, and I already think it's the best camera in the whole world! I've been experimenting and studying and looking and stuff, you know, and I'm having such a great time with it.
Plus, there are second bin news, which are big news too! A smashing new computer came along with the smashing new camera! And I just couldn't believe my eyes when I saw it for the first time!! I was so astounded, believe me.
As for school, the first week hadn't finished we already had our first exam lined up. Nice. :) Math exam, at that. But I like Maths, so I'm not worrying a lot.
Another big wow in my life lately has been Black Jack's appearance! Yes, yes, that cute little kitten Nuba had. He's home! He's ours! He's cute and sweet! I have such a grand time playing with him, though Scotty is terribly jealous of him. Oh well, he'll get over it.
So I'm hoping to post some more pictures now that I have this smashing new computer (I didn't do it that often before because the old laptop was soooo slow), and well, that's about it! I think about you all a lot and I often wonder what my bloggie friend are doing, so even though I don't post that much, I haven't forgotten you!

First Day Of College

Wow, it was sure special.
So yeah, some of you may be wondering, she's in college? And I'll answer, yep, I am. Note that college here isn't considered the same as University in USA. It's something post-obligatory, you do it if you choose to, and they are two years of studying before University. It's like they prepare you for your career, sort of like.
Anyway, today was my first day in my first year of college, and it was great. I have wonderful teachers; some of them I had last year or already knew them, and I'm sure I'm going to enjoy this year, though all the teachers made it clear it's nothing like High School, and absolutely not like its relaxed study. I'm somewhat intimidated by the hard study and I have in front of me, but I'm sure I'll adapt quickly and I'll be able to put up with it. My teachers are great teachers and I'm sure I'll learn a lot with them.
So, I woke up at 6.30 a.m., and read my Bible and prayer till 7.00 a.m., when I started getting ready, dressing, washing my hair, having breakfast, etc.
At about eight o'clock we left for school, and school started at 8.30. It was fun to see all of my school friends ten minutes before the bell rang, locating my class and, hey, for the first time in my life, in in Class B instead of A! *Freaks out* Oh well. I have plenty of new friends; well, people I've met. We're not friends yet, but I'm sure we will, in time. During the first three hours we had the usual getting to know the schedule, the teachers, the classrooms, etc. Then we had morning break, and after that we had like three speeches from the school director, the village's mayor, etc., and then we had free time 'till three p.m., when we college students leave.
So more or less, my schedule this year will be, getting up at 6.30, starting school at 8.30, morning break at 11.30, continue lessons at 12.00 and finishing at 15.00. Whew!
And I was also able to witness to a friend today! I was so happy to be able to share God with him, it felt like a blessing. On my first day of college, too!
How are you people doing with your own school work?

Update!!

Hellooooooooooooo everybody!
I've just been for a wonderful walk... it smells like spring!! And it's beautiful, really. I was able to pick a bunch of nice flowers and plants and I placed them on my desk.
I am writing a quick update, so you'll see I haven't disappeared from the face of this earth - not yet, anyway...
I will write a quick update on my life... I've been very busy lately studying and reading and writing a lot, so I haven't been much on the computer, only to check e-mail and do a couple of things... now I am back from a lovely walk, and before I start working, I said to myself, let's write an update!
Soooo what is new in my life? I'll be sixteen in two months, almost. =) I have learnt to use my Mummy's camera, and I have learnt how to play with my cat without it biting me all the time. I enjoy playing the flute more than ever, and I love spring, I really do...
As for my studies, I'll say I've had 10's in all the Maths exams I've had this semester, 10 in Biology as well, a 9'75 in Phyisics, a 9 in History, a 9 in Catalan, 9's and 8's in Spanish, and I think that's all... I have an exam next week, I had an exam yesterday, another today, so naturally, I don't know those marks yet.
I'm back to teaching English! And I have such a delightful time. It's lots of fun, and I like it better than last year.
And now, as I finish a delicious tea and stare dreamily out of the window, watching the white, cotton clouds sail the sky... I leave you to your own affairs...

Apologies

I never thought school exams could take me away from my blog... but they have.
And I'm sorry. I've been wanting to update my blog for some time, thinking, "I hope I get some time today to write on my blog!" but it hasn't been possible till now. Oh well, the most important exams are behind me (for those who may be interested, I got a 9'5 in Maths and a 9 in Physics), and now I have some time to relax before a wonderful almost-three-weeks-long holiday!

YAY!

A little update about my life:
I'm wearing glasses! Yes, I became aware during the school start that "CHOKE! I can't see the blackboard!", and I was sitting in first row. Ouch. So yeah, now I look like I looked like before, but with glasses as well. =)
I've started my flute lessons once more! Although I haven't been able to practice as diligently as I used to, because I started in middle of November and by that time I was already preparing for my end-term exams, I'm pleased that I'm able to take lessons again.

And maybe you would like to know, what has happened to the famous kittens, Nuba, Aluya and Scotty? Well, we still have Scotty, but the two females, Nuba and Aluya, were adopted by my best friend's family. I often get news about them (as many of you may know, Nuba was my darling, my kitty...) and well... Scotty is, to me, the 3 Sss... Silly Skitty Scotty!! They have all grown a lot, Aluya is very fat and Scotty is a male... I only wish you could see my hands: they have scratches and cuts all over.

And well, I will try and update my blog more often from now on. There aren't many pictures to post (I haven't been photographing very often lately), but I do have a post in mind that contains pictures. You will see.

I Am Alive

Yes, indeed, I am alive.
I can't believe it. A month has passed without my writing a new post in my lovely blog! I can't believe it. This isn't possible.
But oh well... I guess I have been busy... and it has been worth it, friends, because out of ten, I got a 9.25 in Spanish and Physics, and a 9.50 in Biology! :D So yeah, I think it was worth it.
Besides, there hasn't been much interesting stuff going on, so I didn't have anything to say.
But I promise I will write something from time to time, and as soon as I have cool pictures and things to post, I will post them.
Because I love you all very much.^^

Kalina and Dalina the Leeks

Kalina and Dalina the Leeks are twins. Let us start by Kalina.

Kalina uses lipstick, and she likes to have her hair (leaves) in a pony tail, with a red bow. She doesn’t like dresses, but always wears a skirt and a T-shirt with a pink bee printed on it.
Kalina usually dislikes jewlery but she has a beautiful necklace which her boyfriend gave her that she always has on. She likes dancing and country music, she likes studying physics but hates Maths and Languages, and is very bad at singing and at taking care of children.

Dalina always wears cowboy jeans and boots, and a sky-blue-and-sun-yellow stripped blouse. Her hair (leaves) is always loose, even when it’s very windy or very hot. She hates cosmetics but paints her nails white with chalk. She has two rings from her grandmother, is boyfriendless and LOVES to sing and play harp. Dalina likes to yoodle like they do in the Alps, and opera. She is good at Biology and Languages, but is like her sister (NO, I’m not! She’s like me!) in Maths. She keeps mice for pets, and enjoys babysitting.

Don’t ask me… I was told to write an essay about “Character Development” and to “choose a vegetable and create a character from it”, and to “be as silly as you like!”. So I did this up…
Favourite, anyone?

Dissection of a Pig's Kidney

That's what we've done for our biology hour this afternoon. If I have to be honest, I haven't really enjoyed it. The kidneys smelled awful, and I was dizzy all the time, but otherwise, it was VERY interesting.
First of all we had to draw a diagram of the whole part (with the veins that go in and out, and all that), and another one of the kidney itself, and then we began to study the kidney. We used my microscope kit that my parents gave to me as a present one year. Wendy cut the kidney in half, and we could see the insides. We actually eat rabbit kidneys, but when I think of its job... well, I kind of get thinking "How in the world we EAT that?!?!"
Anyway, I learnt new things, and I have new knowledge.
I would like to post my diagrams, but first of all, I can't, because of the computer, and second, they aren't in English!!
