Apricot Rain

Over the last years, every now and then I wrote a gardening update, and well... the time has come to write another one.
This time, I have also pictures to post! And yeah, you can take the title literally...
You see, if you get under the apricot tree, you are most likely to receive a rain of apricots on your head. There are so many of them this year, it's amazing! Mummy doesn't know what to make out of so many of them, though we are going to do lots of jam, and lots of yummy things with them.

These are our apricots. Quite big, I must say... I love the colour! What I like of them also, is that they are so juicy that when you bite them juice just runs down your chin without you being able to do anything about it.

This is this morning's collection. I believe Mummy said there were 27 kilos in the basket, or something like it.

Mummy gave me this "Perfect Apricot", as she called it, specially for me. ^^

This, believe it or not, is a sunflower - without its sunflower... but it'll come soon! :) It's taller than me, the plant is! And I'm about, more or less, five foot three inches.

My favourite plant in the garden... the rosebush! I love red red roses, and this one is quite according to my taste! I love its colour.

These are the pictures. Mummy is also growing beans, and we also have prunes, and last year's were quite delicious! And letsee, I think this is all for now!

A Little Update

I know, I KNOW! I have absolutely forgotten my blog...
Well, for those who think I have, you're wrong! Because in fact, I have thought about it often most of these past days, wanting to go there and write a little something. But I'll explain what has happened.
As many of you may know, I attend music lessons, and every now and then, our teacher gives us some kind of project to work on. Well, that is what happened these three past weeks. I had to do a project on Musical History, and I told myself, "Young lady, you are not going to touch the computer till you have it finished!", and though, I did touch the computer a little now and then, I didn't get on it very often... and thus is why my blog hasn't had anything new for three weeks.
And well... I have attended three birthday parties, and had a good time, had final concerts (there is still one more to go, on the 20th... and I'm the soloist! :S), and too many things to tell in one small post...
So I think I'll just leave you with a couple of pics, and continue later on...
Just to let you know, Yes, I am alive, and No, I haven't forgotten my dear blog!

This is a rainbow we saw one day, which was quite strange, because it wasn't a bow at all... it was quite a straight line!

This was a very cute kitty we found at Sil's birthdays party, very cuddly and sweet and soft and furry... :) That day was wonderful... *sigh*

And this is a picture I've taken today. We had some friends over for the day, and we went to visit a monastery. The two younger ones are staying with us till next Thursday. :)
The purple-pink flowers were beautiful, so I took a picture of it.

And this is all for now! I'll continue posting pictures and things when I can, and photos will be frequent because in the days to come, I have many activities scheduled! I'm very much looking forward to this and the next week! ^^

Nineteen!

Yesterday my sister turned nineteen!
I don't have any pictures of her birthday, because I was left without batteries, but I do have lovely memories.
I want to say, Happy Birthday, Sister!, and may God bless you in this new year you are beginning.
I won't try to write nineteen funny/weird/random things about her; I already did this last year, and it was difficult! But I wanted to dedicate a post to her, because she is so special to me.
I love you!

Some Verses

Likewise the Spirit also helps in our weaknesses. For we do not know what we should pray for as we ought, but the Spirit himself makes intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered.
Romans 8:26

If God is for us, who can be against us?
Romans 8:31

He who did not spare His own Son, but delivered Him up for us all, how shall He not with Him also freely give us all things?
Romans 8:32

It is Christ who died, and furthermore is also risen, who is even at the right hand of God, who also makes intercession for us.
Romans 8:34

Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall tribulations, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword?
Romans 8:35

For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angles nor principalities nor powers, nor things present nor things to come,
Nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
Romans 8:38-39

While I was reading this chapter in Romans, these verses called my attention especially, and made me think a lot. I hope they are a blessing to all of you as they were to me.

Clips!

When the day is rainy, you are quite bored, and you have a box full of clips, such as...
...this one...

...without really wanting to, the little light bulb on top of your head shines very bright.
And so, what is supposed to be a piece of metal covered in coloured plastic comes to be a very amusing and useful thing indeed.

I like them. They are lots of fun!

And so I started to make a string out of it, one at a time...

...like this...

I didn't really realize how many they were... It took me a lot of time to join them all in one line!

See, it was so long I could do plenty of figures!

A good zig-zag... I really advise you to try it.

And of course, a coloured snail! I wonder if the is a true one that has so many colours...

I did groups of the colours too! Now letsee...
I have a list...

38 dark blue clips.
25 red clips.
23 red clips.
20 green clips.
20 white clips.
17 yellow clips.
15 purple clips.
15 sky blue clips.
13 orange clips.
9 black clips.

With a total of one hundred and ninety-five clips.

And, by the way, for those who were wondering, yes - I did try to skip with the clip "rope", and no - it didn't work!

Sil*]

Sil*]

Today is Silvia's birthday! And I'm writing here about her. Because it's her birthday. Because she is a wonderful girl. Because she is my friend. Because she is... SHE!
When we are together, we always have a great time. Talking without stopping, joking all the time, teasing each other mutually... she is unique!

So since today she is seventeen, I'm going to say thank you to her because:

Bcause* from the start she considered me her friend.
Bcause* even though I am a silly, chatty teenager, she loves me all the same!
Bcause* I have always been able to tell her everything, and I can trust her.
Bcause* she's always listened to me, and helped me.
Bcause* I can talk in English with her! ^^
Bcause* she was the first one to... introduce me. :P
Bcause* we have many opinions and tastes in common.
Bcause* we can talk and share opinions on intelligent subjects.
Bcause* she is like an older sister!
Bcause* she is a good sport and I can tease her.
Bcause* she likes music! :D:D
Bcause*... she is Sil... and with that, all is said.

Silvia, you don't know how I love you, I wish you the best on such a special day! God Bless You!

Kittie!

Last Saturday we visited some dear friends of ours, this family, and we really had a great time!
They had a cute little black and white cat with green eyes that I liked very much, and therefore I took many pictures of it. Here are my favourites!

Somehow, Oreo (that was her name) thought that my Mummy's lap was comfotable, even thought she was crossing her legs.

Here you have her again, like a queen, looking at... something on the floor...?

I, of course, had a great time caressing her... you could hear her purring half a mile away! :)

A really closer look... cute nose!

Then she hid under the table, but I could take pictures of her even there (haha, she didn't escape! I had this feeling she didn't like photos... she almost scratched my camera after a photo with flash! :S). Anyway, I think she was trying to hide...

One has to keep herself clean... even before a camera taking a photo of her. (Manners...!)

I don't really know what to say about that one... maybe she was calculating the jump she had to do to go back on the floor.

Aha! This one is my favourite! Comfortable on Kevin's shoulder. And now I am saying it seriously, I could hear the kitty purring from where I was taking the picture.

Awww, I like this one very much too. She looks like she is saying, "Who, me? Nah, I'm just a cute little purring thing!"
I just like her eyes so much.

We really had fun that day, only it rained all the time, during the whole day, and I wasn't able to go outside and check the little woods they had at the back. I bet I could have taken plenty more pictures! :)
I hope we can see them again! We had good talks and lunch was delicious!

Fifteen!

Last Sunday was of the best days of my life. I really had a great time!
Two families came to spend the day with us, and well... this year I'll post pictures instead of writing a huge story like last year...
So here they go! :)

My presents! An alarm clock from my parents, two anklets as a special gift from Mummy, a tin whistle from my older sister, earphones from my older brother, stickers from my little brother, an "A" from my littlest brother, and the toy frog from one of the families. I got a top from the other family. ^^

My best friend came, and gave me this beautiful heart necklace... (I'm wearing my new top too)

And this bracelet... we have it the same!

The cake! Yummy, it was delicious! And I blew the fifteen candles all at once, too! :)

The "A" my littlest brother gave me... I think it's very cute! ^^

The whole day was wonderful. The weather was splendid, and nice and warm. We walked, talked a lot, tried my new presents... it was just... wonderful! SO many people remembered, I can't even begin to count them! They really made my birthday special.
And I am fifteen!

Last Everything

The sun has risen to...
The last day of fourteen years old.
Last time I'll see my friends being fourteen years old.
Last time they will see me being fourteen years old.
Last morning, last afternoon, last night, of my fourteenth year.
Last "Good Morning" and "Good Night" of my fourteenth year.

Last Everything Of My Fourteenth Year! Today Is The Last Day!

UaaaaaaaA!! I'm even scared of being fifteen! I look over my shoulder and think of everything I've done this year, all that I've gone through, good things and bad things, all that I've said, done and thought. Good times with old friends and new friends too, studies and new knowledges, sunny days and rainy days. I look back, and I give thanks for everything, because everything has been an experience from which I have learnt something, if patience or humility, everything has helped me.

And to my family and friends... I thank you because you love me even though I am a disaster and a bubble head, and spend my days in the clouds... thank you because you have always been there for me when I needed you, because you have always helped me, you have laughed with me, and even cried with me, because you have always had patience with me when I messed things up, and well... I can't thank you enough.

I just love you all so much, and I hope we continue this way for always.

I feel so blessed. My heart overflows with joy and happiness. I thank God for everything in my life. Because He made it this way. Because He has everything planned, and everything is in His hands, and I don't have to fear.

I'm going to be fifteen!

Chock

This is... Chock. My little brother's toy...
It's so cute and cuddly!! I like it very much.
This picture was taken from the upstairs study window, through the tree's leaves. :)
As you can see, it was just having
its afternoon snack, out in the garden. It was a beautiful day last Saturday.

Colonel Fazackerley

Colonel Fazackerley Butterworth-Toast
Bought an old castle complete with a ghost,
But someone or other forgot to declare
To Colonel Fazack that the spectre was there.

On the very first evening, while waiting to dine,
The Colonel was taking a fine sherry whine,
When the ghost, with a furious flash and a flare,
Shot out of the chimney and shivered "Beware!"

Colonel Fazackerley put down his glass
And said, "My dear fellow, that's really first class!
I just can't conceive how you do it at all.
I imagine you're going to a Fancy Dress Ball?"

At this, the dread ghost gave a withering cry.
Said the Colonel (his monocle firm in his eye),
"Now just how you do it I wish I could think.
Do sit down and tell me, and please have a drink."

The ghost in his phosphorous cloak gave a roar
And floated about between ceiling and floor.
He walked through a wall and returned through a pane
And backed up the chimney and came down again.

Said the Colonel, "With laughter I'm feeling quite weak!"
(As tears of merriment ran down his cheek).
"My house-warming party I hope you won't spurn.
You must say you'll come and you'll give us a turn!"

At this the poor spectre - quite out of his wits -
Proceeded to shake himself almost to bits.
He rattled his chains and he clattered his bones
And he filled the whole castle with mumbles and moans.

But Colonel Fazackerley, just as before,
Was simply delighted and called out, "Encore!"
At which the ghost vanished, his efforts in vain,
And was never seen at the castle again.

"Oh dear, what a pity!" said Colonel Fazack.
"I don't know his name, so I can't call him back."
And then with a smile that was hard to define,
Colonel Fazackerley went in to dine.

All Things Bright And Beautiful

All things bright and beautiful,
All creatures great and small,
All things wise and wonderful,
The Lord God made them all.

Each Little flower that opens,
Each little bird that sings,
He made their glowing colours,
He made their tiny wings.

The purple headed mountains,
The river running by,
The sunset and the morning,
That brightens up the sky;

The cold wind in the winter,
The pleasant summer sun,
The ripe fruits in the garden,
He made them every one.

He gave us eyes to see them,
And lips that we might tell,
How great is God Almighty,
Who has made all things well.

Visit From England

We were very blessed last week to have my Mummy's cousin's visit! She arrived Monday night, and during the rest of the week we went on outings and visits. We had lots of fun! Our cousin is a very happy person and she laughs a lot. :D She also introduced us to the game of Dutch Blitz, which is quite popular now in our family... we can't stop playing it!

A really good thing about visits is that desserts are special... and really yummy! Strawberries and cream are delicious...!

First day we went to visit a small but very picturesque village called Masarbonés, and spent the time there looking and walking around. It was very windy, but certainly beautiful!

There were lots of stairs up and down the streets, and it was really pretty because there were plenty of plants all around to make it pretty.

I especially liked this light post, with the awesome view behind it and the clear blue sky, with only a couple of clouds in sight.

On the second afternoon we went to the beach... and the beach that day was just lovely. I had such a great time, daydreaming mostly. The sand was warm to my bare feet, and the wind had plenty of fun playing with my hair... and now I am getting very sentimental, but the sea always has this effect on me... :)

And now maybe, with this photograph, you'll understand me... it's just so beautiful... it's just too pretty. *Sigh*

And now I know that this picture doesn't mean anything, but I always thought that when I had a camera and went to the beach I would take a picture of my feet in the water...
Oh, by the way, the water was indeed very cold!

Next day we went to visit a very pretty dam, and its surroundings, quite beautiful. The water was green, yes, but pretty anyway! And the stones of the dam are quite something, along with what we saw... turtles! And snakes...

VoilĂ  the little snake (there was another quite bigger, but it hid before I could catch a photo of it. And it was fat.)

If you look quite close you can see many turtles on the stone, sunbathing themselves, and a couple swimming on the water.

Now I don't know what you think, but there were these funny things in the water that kept moving around and doing silly things, and teasing us... hum!

Yeah, yeah, we even saw the shadow of a camel... in the water!!
Go figure...

The impressive dam...

Then we went to visit an even-smaller-than-the-first village which had a very impressive castle, and was very nice indeed because it's old, and all the houses are made out of stone, and I enjoyed it a lot. What's more, the weather was very warm, and the breeze that blew was hot. It was really lovely!

The impressive castle, from a distance... I like this picture because you can see the lovely blue sky. My cousin was lucky because she came to a very sunny and warm Spain after being in cold and rainy England... :D

This, as you may see, is a door... but it's very old, made of wood, and see the wall, it's all stone? Even the floor is stone.

A very friendly cat indeed... came purring like anything to me and began mewing sweetly when I leaned down to stroke it. Then it stood still when I took the picture of it. Good cat!

We could see part of the dam and all the water from where we were, up in the castle. This photo captured the flight of some kind of big water bird. My Mummy told me the name, but I don't remember it...

This was up in the castle, actually I think it was the castle's chapel, or something. Notice the big bells!

And oh well, on Friday we went to the market place, but I didn't take pictures of that. Then our dearest cousin went home that evening. We'd had a wonderful time together, and I hope she can come again soon!
