Out and About with Papa

This past winter and spring has been somewhat Hubby-less as he has had a couple of extra jobs he could only work at late in the evenings or on Saturdays. Therefore, it was with joy and excitement that Bia and I headed out with him last Thursday for a day together in the countryside/mountains. He had a small job to complete in a beautiful part of the country, so after he had finished we had the rest of the day to spend together among grass, rivers and hills.

Experiencing flowers for the first time! She also loved walking barefoot on the grass. I got to make her very first daisy chain!
"That mountain over there is... (insert mountain's name)"
What a joy it was to go out once more among the beauty of creation with those whom I love best!
Hubby should finish the extra jobs soon, hopefully before the summer ends, so I am looking forward to more outings with him and Baby! ♥

Introducing...

...our first addition to the family:

Our baby girl Abigail Sofia (Bia for short), born January 24th at 17:14 hours and weighing 2,76 kg!

I know this blog post is more than four months overdue, plus I have no idea whether this blog is still read by anyone. However, one of my favourite sayings is "better late than never". Amidst giving birth in a different country to that where I live, becoming a mother, still being a wife, and catching up with studies, housework, and - yes, sleep, I haven't really had a chance to sit down and write on the blog.

Now I have, and I take the chance to let you know about this huge change in our lives! Little Bia is a funny, sweet baby who has just started to sleep well. She started out tiny, and is now wearing six and nine month old clothes. Everything that she manages to grab goes into her mouth, and she loves cooing, squealing and screaming. True to her name, she fills our days with joy!

Visit From England

We were very blessed last week to have my Mummy's cousin's visit! She arrived Monday night, and during the rest of the week we went on outings and visits. We had lots of fun! Our cousin is a very happy person and she laughs a lot. :D She also introduced us to the game of Dutch Blitz, which is quite popular now in our family... we can't stop playing it!

A really good thing about visits is that desserts are special... and really yummy! Strawberries and cream are delicious...!

First day we went to visit a small but very picturesque village called Masarbonés, and spent the time there looking and walking around. It was very windy, but certainly beautiful!

There were lots of stairs up and down the streets, and it was really pretty because there were plenty of plants all around to make it pretty.

I especially liked this light post, with the awesome view behind it and the clear blue sky, with only a couple of clouds in sight.

On the second afternoon we went to the beach... and the beach that day was just lovely. I had such a great time, daydreaming mostly. The sand was warm to my bare feet, and the wind had plenty of fun playing with my hair... and now I am getting very sentimental, but the sea always has this effect on me... :)

And now maybe, with this photograph, you'll understand me... it's just so beautiful... it's just too pretty. *Sigh*

And now I know that this picture doesn't mean anything, but I always thought that when I had a camera and went to the beach I would take a picture of my feet in the water...
Oh, by the way, the water was indeed very cold!

Next day we went to visit a very pretty dam, and its surroundings, quite beautiful. The water was green, yes, but pretty anyway! And the stones of the dam are quite something, along with what we saw... turtles! And snakes...

VoilĂ  the little snake (there was another quite bigger, but it hid before I could catch a photo of it. And it was fat.)

If you look quite close you can see many turtles on the stone, sunbathing themselves, and a couple swimming on the water.

Now I don't know what you think, but there were these funny things in the water that kept moving around and doing silly things, and teasing us... hum!

Yeah, yeah, we even saw the shadow of a camel... in the water!!
Go figure...

The impressive dam...

Then we went to visit an even-smaller-than-the-first village which had a very impressive castle, and was very nice indeed because it's old, and all the houses are made out of stone, and I enjoyed it a lot. What's more, the weather was very warm, and the breeze that blew was hot. It was really lovely!

The impressive castle, from a distance... I like this picture because you can see the lovely blue sky. My cousin was lucky because she came to a very sunny and warm Spain after being in cold and rainy England... :D

This, as you may see, is a door... but it's very old, made of wood, and see the wall, it's all stone? Even the floor is stone.

A very friendly cat indeed... came purring like anything to me and began mewing sweetly when I leaned down to stroke it. Then it stood still when I took the picture of it. Good cat!

We could see part of the dam and all the water from where we were, up in the castle. This photo captured the flight of some kind of big water bird. My Mummy told me the name, but I don't remember it...

This was up in the castle, actually I think it was the castle's chapel, or something. Notice the big bells!

And oh well, on Friday we went to the market place, but I didn't take pictures of that. Then our dearest cousin went home that evening. We'd had a wonderful time together, and I hope she can come again soon!

At Stake

We were having lunch. We had stake and chips, I think.
With a big wide grin, my older brother cuts a tiny piece of stake. Then, he pinched it with his fork, and said,

"The points of my fork are at stake!!"

Mister Mousie

You see, my little brother has had his two bottom teeth out (he did it all by himself, brave boy!). And so my older sister asked him tonight, "Did Mister Mousie bring anything to you last night?"

He sits up.

"Ahem, Ahem!"

He gives himself some importance.

"Cough, Cough!"

He sits properly on his seat.

"Ahem, Ahhhhhheeeem! Cough, ahem!"

Breaths deep...

"Yeth!"

Dear me, all this just to say yes! (A slippery yes, of course, the air slips out of the hole that was left *smile*).
Anyway, in the end we were told that he had been given an euro and fifty cents. Lucky him!

A Seasonal Update

I would say that this is a seasonal update, but also, as I promised long ago, I’ll kill two birds with one stone, and I’ll make it a gardening update too.

I always thought I would enjoy being a farmer’s wife, but now I am sure of it. Our garden is lovely. This morning, as I was hanging the washing, I exclaimed, “Oh, Papa, I love the way the garden smells!” And it’s true. Think of the sweet fall smell, everything wet and humid, with the leaves falling on the ground, and the ground smelling so fresh and sweet. Then, with the combination of the morning birds singing, and a soft breeze blowing, I was in a dream. I love being outside!

This morning we got a load of firewood, a ton of wood, to be exact, and we had to get it in. We had so much fun getting it in, all together but Mummy (at first she helped too, but later had to go and get lunch ready) and my sister, who was busy. We worked in line, first my older bro by the wood plile, who passed logs and things to my youngest brother (who being only six years old is very strong). Then he passed them to me, I passed them to my younger brother and he passed it to Papa through a big window, who piled the wood neatly at the back of the porch. Some minutes later, when the pile had decreased considerably, we had to go to the back of the pile, and throw logs in the front of it, so we could go on doing the same without Bro having to walk a mile to get the next log… :P After that, we went back to our places in the line, and on and on we went until the pile was done. Working in a normal way, it took us 44 minutes to sort 1 ton of wood, five people working on it. It was fun!

Talking about the zucchini… well, it’s been better than we all expected, even better than Mama expected! In about three and a half months, we got about thirty-five zucchinies from nine plants, and Mummy found seven more this morning, while we worked in the garden. It has really been a very good summer for the garden, not too hot, and quite wet, for Spanish weather… and they’ve grown big, fat and green… they should, now that I say so… :P The first zuchini weighed 1 quilo 150 grams, and it was huge! (That’s 2 pounds and a half, aprox.) My younger brother was very proud, the plants were his, and he had taken care of them, and watered them.

And well, to finish, I have to tell you that today we found two mice in our house… that’s the fourth we see this summer-autumn, and it’s awful to have to kill them. Mice are so cute.

I will tell you again… I wish I could be a farmer’s wife!!

In Gualadajara...

Well, here it is, as I said...

We had a wonderful weather those two days we were out, and it was a real blessing. Our reason to go was to meet some Christian friends my Papa met once there, which we hadn't met.
We woke up at seven in the morning Friday morning, and quickly prepared ourselves for the trip. We didn't even have our breakfast at home, we would have it in the car, to save time.
But things not quite always come out the way they are planned. We planned to leave at eight, so we could get to our friends' house ready for lunch, but when we were all in the car and ready to go, we discovered that my little brother's security belt was damaged. At first we thought that we would have to cancel our outing, but God is merciful, and after an hour or so, and much praying and being nervous, Papa finally fixed it, and (whew!!), we were on our way, thankfully.
We did see some of the wonderful creations of God. We saw a tremendous lot of HUGE eagles, we saw big and endless, huge mountains surrounding them, we saw... but I am getting ahead. Let us continue our tale.
We DIDN'T get there in time for lunch. When we arrived at SigĂĽenza, where we were to stay, it was past four o'clock pm, and we were all starving hungry. First we went to take our place at the hostal, leave our bags and the stuff we didn't need, and THEN came the best part, when we met our friends at their house. I was nervous, don't ask me why... but they are a lovely family, and I love them very much already. They are Felix and Sandra, and their son, Joel, and teir daughter Marylin.
We had a very nice time, and while we ate our lunch (huh, late-lunch) we talked together and joked and laughed.
Later in the afternoon they took us to see the very old but very big SigĂĽenza Castle. Oh, it was beautiful, and it had such a view! Mary and I were fast friends, and she took me to see the village a little, and to buy sweets. After that, when it began to get dark, we went home and she showed me her bedroom, and we talked together, mostly about stars... she likes stars very much, and so do I, so we had a nice chat about them. We just spent all the evening there, and when it was time to go we went back to where the hostal was.
After that we had to have some supper, so Papa, my older bro and I went somewhere to buy sandwiches. It was fun to eat in a place that wasn’t ours, and to sleep in a strange bed. Mummy called it a short adventure. It was FREEZING cold at night there (we were very high on a mountain), and my bed had five bedcovers to keep the cold out. :S But I tell you, it was fun, cold, and wow, didn’t I enjoy it!
When next morning we got up, it was still early, and I remembre dressing at the same time I shivered like crazy…
Then we went to have our breakfast at Mary’s house. Ohhhh, yummy! It was delicious. We didn’t have what we usually have here, it was so diffrent (all but the milk-and-chocolate drink… I can’t be parted from that!).
That day was mostly all walking and ejoying Trillo, a place where there were lots of waterfalls and old stone houses. I love old places. It makes me feel inspired, and I like it so much. I have lots of photographs of all the waterfalls, and the castles, and the old solid wood dors, beautifully carved… ahh, it was beautiful!
Then at lunch we went to a restaurant, where they did very good meat. I had such a huge and tasty piece of meat!! And a very big salad, with lots of tuna, olives, tomatoes, asparagus, eggs, and everything I could dream of. Oh, it was delicious!!
It was about half past five pm when we left the restaurant, and then came the good-byes, for we had to leave for home. I had had a wonderful time!
During our way we stopped mny times to see something that looked interesting. My sister and I had a very funny time trying to see who did the biggest chewing-gum “baloon”, and when we stopped to see the river Tajo I took some wonderful photos of the view. Since it is autumn, the place near the river was FULL with falling leaves, and yellow, orange and red trees. I took the advantage to collect all the autumn leaves I could… It was so pretty! Sometimes I don’t know how to descrive such beauty, and I really think that God’s creation is awsome! “The heavens declare the glory of God; and the firmament sheweth His handywork.” Psalms 19:01
We actually got home at half past twelve am, but it was all an adventure! I hope we can repeat it again, and that I can see them again soon… :P

What Everyone's Been Waiting For

Well, I guess it's more than a weekend, for what I have to say begins on Thursday. You know, with my brother’s concert, and the Twins birthday. Well, there isn’t much to say concerning the Twins’ birthday. I only have to say that I called them that evening, and we chatted for about an hour... I use to take THAT long talking to my friends.

But my brother’s concert was something I enjoyed very much. My Papa came to get me from my bobbing-lace lesson a quarter of an hour sooner to be in time, and then we went to get Mummy and the others. Bro was already at the place where the concert was to be held, and we got there in time. We had good seats, too! And when the concert began we all quieted.
My sister and I waited until it was Bro’s turn, and even tough it’s not very ladylike, we were the first ones to cheer him and whistle... Anonymous, and Dustynne, okay, you smile, and so can JoyGirl, but that’s me... and I do know how to whistle with my fingers. Anonymous taught me to. ;-)
Bro played really well, I’m very proud of my brother, and I’m very proud that I was chosen to be his sister! We were so proud of him, all of us, and still are!

And next day was my turn!! I didn’t get VERY nervous — at first. So well, my flute teacher came to get me at about half past five and we headed for the Music School. Over there I helped Laura with the programes, folding them and folding them and folding them again. There were HUNDREDS of programs to fold! And what’s worse Teacher didn’t pay me for all my work... *grin* Gradually all the player came, and when my partner arrived we began rehersal. My partenr is a year younger than me, and we have the same name... ;-) She was far more nervous than I was... I was only a lEEtl bit nervous, and if I got more along the day I wasn’t worried, because when I play I relax and have a good time.
After rehersal it was near the concert time, so the players went to one of the rooms (camerinos, I like to call them) and waited for IT to begin. Before half past seven people began to come, including my family and some neighbours, and a about twenty-five to eight or so we could go in. And IT began.
A little later I got a BIG surprise. The whole W Family were entering the room, together with Mrs. F and Master F!!! My, I DID get nervous then... I don’t know why. I had been praying so hard for them to come, but at first they didn’t know if they could, and they did!!!! I was so happy... and I got more nervous. Never mind...
When finally it was our turn I realized that I was trembing. I was so nervous... I went up the stage... and then, suddenly, I felt calm and relaxed and fine... but I was STILL trembling.
Everything went smoothly, and we played rather well. As we were the oldest ones, we were the last ones to play.
Something I have to say... I had a GREAT time, I was very glad my family and friends could come, and I’m looking very forward to the next concert!!! ;-)

Next Saturday (tomorrow to my concert) was something to expect too! It was my Twin Friends’ Brithday Party! We all went, even though my two older siblings and I had been planing to go alone by train, and we had such a good time!!! We got there at about two p.m., and were the second ones to arrive. Of course, their friends from the neighbourhood were there first! So we got there, and chatted and waited until the other friends were there. Then we had lunch. We had so much fun! I don’t really know how to explain it... children (I’m talknig about fourteen-year-olds up to eighteen-year-olds) ate outside and parents inside. We sat there, eating and chatting and joking and laughing anf having a great time.
At first everyone was shy and quiet, because most of us didn’t know each other. But then the ice was broken and after all we had a very nice time indeed.
After lunch we went to a entertaintment place (don’t know EXACTLY how it’s called. I only know it’s a place where people go there to have fun and play football or something like that, where people can also have picnicks... it’s like a big meadow). We just went there, got a ball and started playing football. I was goalkeeper... that’s a thing I can do well at football. I can also run, but I prefer keeping goals out. And I did, too. In the first game we won at Six to One, and the second game we lost at Two to One. I had such a great time!! And then when the Twins (there were two pairs of twins) and I raced to the fountain (boy, wasn’t it hot that day!), I won! I love running.
Then we planned to go to the beach, but in the end we couldn’t... ;·(
Anyway, we had a delightful time, and I want to say... Happy Birthday, Twins!!

Then last Wednesday was Wendy’s turn... she had HER violin concert, and my, didn’t she triumph! She played so well that the people didn’t stop cheering and she had to play a bis. I’m so proud of her too!!
Our cousin and her husband, and also Grandma, came to see her. And after her concert, to celebrate her success, we all went to an ice-cream shop and had a delightful time licking a delicious ice-cream!
Mine was (my cousin told me that originally they are called After-Eight...) a mint with chocolate pips ice-cream, and dear me, didn’t I enjoy it!
My sister is... THE BEST!!!!!!!!

I Know And I Don't Know

Which, funny as can be, I know three things and I didn't know one thing. In me, usually it's on the reverse, but this time, I'm glad it isn't a "usual" happening! ;-)
Okay, the thing I didn't know is about our local swimming pool. Yesterday as I went in the library, I asked at the library lady in a quiet whisper WHEN did the swimming pool open... She smiled at me and pointed at a poster right beside me at the door... and I felt myself blush. WHY did THIS happen to ME??? There was information about the swimming pool on the poster, and on white, which contrasted quite a lot with the blue of the poster, was written "Swimming Pool Opens On Monday The 11th". See what I mean now?? So... The swimming pool is open, and I can’t wait until we get there, and I can swim again! I’ve missed swimming so much!
Okay, the three other things I know are,
One... ONLY ONE DAY TO MY CONCERT!!!!!!!! Aw, I'm so exited... I hope I do alright. I’ve been practising hard for it.
Two... Today's my Twin Friends birthday!!! Now they'll be able to tease me that they ARE a year older than me... *grin* They're fifteen now. Happy Birthday!!
And Three... Today is also my brother's guitar concert!!!!! I'm so exited, as exited as if it was me who was playing, not him... but I am very proud of my brother, and he's the best!! Can't wait 'till this afternoon!!!!
And well, these are the things I know. If I can, I'll tell you about the concert this evening (which isn't likely, for the concert starts at 7.30 pm), and maybe I'll be able to tell you about MY concert tomorrow... which won't be likely either, because it starts at 8 pm, and then we may have some friends over for supper.
And most Saturday is busy because my two older siblings and I are going (Lord willing) to Twin's party... Another busy weekend!! These are three busy weekends in a row, and I'm very happy. So I don’t know if I’ll post until next Monday... at least you are warned.

P.S.: Mummy is better, and she is already walking quite well. Thank you for your prayers!

It Smells Like Summer

Oh, I love weekends! They are wonderful days where I can have delightful times with my family... what would I do without them!
Yesterday evening smelled like summer... the air was fresh, and I could hear the little birds singing their last song as the sun slowly went to bed... and the air smelled fresh and pure, and... oh, I just don't know how to explain myself! Why are sometimes feelings you can't explain? How I like people to feel what I feel and the way I enjoy it!
It was just so beautiful! I felt so nice and blessed and so thankful to God! I just can't explain how I feel...
Well, yesterday I wasn’t the only one feeling happy, ad Mama, just as I was finishing my letter to a friend, called me to come down and help her with supper. So I did, and what was the first thing she said?? Go and clean the table outside, for we are going ot eat there!!!! Just think of it, as I was feeling THAT way, Mummy tells me the thing I had been wishing!! Aw, how nice Mummies are! Mine especially! ;-)
Well, so I went outside and asked the little one to go and fetch me the hose while I just got the table ready, and so he did, and after discussing who of us three (my two younger brothers and I) would do the work, we decided we would do it all three together. So all by suprise Al got the hose on, and the littl’ ‘un got soaking wet, and so did I. Then, after getting the table soaking wet, we cleaned it with a soaking wet cloth, and when we finished the work on the table I chased the two boys all around the garden with the hose on, and we all got wet and had a happy and great time... Ah, the fun of childhood, what would I do without little brothers!!
Then Al, the big and strong younger brother, (;-]) helped me with the table, and between us two we got it placed under the apricot tree. I know a song by recorder called “Under the Linden Tree”... This time under the apricot tree! ;-)
The we had supper outside and as it got dark it got nicer, and fresher and more (deep breath)... ahhhh! Summerish! ;-)
And before going to bed we wathced two episodes of Little House on the Prairie. And since we already sleep with our windows open, I went to sleep with thw word SUMMER in my head... Can’t wait until the swimming pool opens, and I can dive in!
SUMMER SUMMER SUMMER SUMMER! Deep sigh... Ah! I love summer! I just feel so blessed!

Big, Great News

Wonderful! God is so good!!
Mummy has her plaster out...! She is free! ;) This morning she went to the hospital, and my prayers were answered! I'm so glad for Mummy... she was getting very bored! ;) I have been praying very hard for her all morning, and not anly today... We weren't sure it would be healed, because, 1st, foot bones are quite difficult to heal, for what I've heard, and 2nd, she couldn't have calcium.
So we were quite doubtful about it, but kept our faith in the Lord... and He granted our wishes! I am so glad! You can't figure how glad I am!!
Thank you very much for those who've been praying. I know many people have, and I have to tell you I am really very thankful.
And she'll be able to come to my concert!!!!!!! :D

They Are Gone...

...but they'll come back! Our Uncle and Auntie and Cousin left today at about six a.m., and I was in bed by then, so I didn't get to say good-bye, but we had a nice time together yesterday after supper...
Oh, I forgot telling you! Auntie and Uncle bought a little present for each of us from England! Oh, I was so exited... as well as the Big Bag, as I call all the yummy food presents! We do have wonderful uncles... It's so nice that God gave me such loving and wonderful relatives... They are a HUGE blessing!
Well, I might as well tell you WHAT on earth was my present... Oh, I really like it! I like these kind of things... Well, they gave me a necklace and a bracelete, made of silver metal with tiny blue beads, and I tell you, these little things please me very much. I like to have nice braceletes on my wrist, ad a neckalce on my neck, and I like to adorn myself moderately.
Yesterday I talked with one of the older Cousins in England! She is a very nice girl, and I love her very much. We haven't seen each other for... well, I don't know for how long! Maybe three years??
And I talked a little with her, for I had to go to bed, but it was really nice to hear her!! And, as I said before, this morning they left before I woke up, and well... They're gone!
But Auntie invited me to spend some days next summer with them. I am praying really hard to be able to, and they said they would come if possible, and this time with all the cousins!! I'm so exited, I can't wait!! I really love them, very much!

They Are Here Again...

Great, goodie!! Just guess what! Our Uncle and Auntie and Cousin from England are here!

Two months ago our Uncle came to visit us alone after attending some conferences or meetings, and he came to spend the weekend! We had a great time, and when he left he told us that next time he would come with Auntie and possibly all the Cousins.
So last Sunday they arrived, but only with the younger cousin. the twol oldre ones had to stay home because they had important exams ahead.
And I am very happy they are here. We went to the beach and we went on the sand, and wet our feet. We even plannned to take our swimming costumes with us next time we went, but it was too windy.
My little brother found a lost dinosaur, and I built a sand-car for it... And I found a big tinker-bell. I love tinker-bells! It has like a snap, so I can just hang it on my skirt, and when I walk it sounds just so merrily, dring-dring!
Yesterday we went to visit a very old walled city which was very pretty. Uncle, Auntie, Cousin, Al and I went, for there were only five seats in Uncle's car. It was a beautiful day, but soooooooo windy!!! You walked, and you just COULDN'T walk, because the wind was to strong.
Today they are in Barcelona, they are going to have supper here, and they are going away afterwards.
It has been lots of fun, because Cousin slept with Wendy and I in our bedroom, and we talked and had a nice time before going to bed.
They brought with them a HUGE bag of sweeties from England, and lots of other yummy stuff that we can't get over here, and we are oging to have a great time until they are finished!!
Also, we joked a lot with uncle. He is a very jolly man, and lots of fun to be with! ;-)
Auntie is very cuddly, and she enjoys hugs as much as I do (THAT is a LOT!!!)!
I'll tell you more about it later. I am having a great time!

It's 5th Of May Now...

...and 364 days to my next birthday!! :(
Oh, really, but I can't complain. From all the days I recall of my FOURTEEN years of life, yesterday was the best!! Thank you so much to all those who called, e-mailed or contributed in SOME way to make my birthday a wonderful and impossible-to-forget day! I was very pleased, and had just a delicious time!
Yesterday when I went to bed I did a lot of thinking (as I do always, for wile I wait to fall asleep I can't do anything else), and thought of how much God has blessed me in fourteen years, and I am so grateful to Him for everything I have!
Everything I have is because of Him. All the present that I got and still have to get, He made it possible. Each and everyone I know and love is because of Him. He created them. ALL IS BECAUE OF HIM! Each and every blessing I have came from His precious hands. And I am so grateful! "I will greatly praise the LORD with my mouth; yea, I will praise him among the multitude" Psalms 109:30

I guess you want to know how My Day went, so I will tell you a little about it.
I got up as always, earlier than I would like, since it was my birthday. =) But... I had to shower and we wanted to go to the library and to the marketplace as we always go on Fridays. So I frowned at the alarm clock and got ready. You may smile when I say that I frowned at the alarm clock, but I was bothered because I had been dreaming until then and the constant beeeeeeeeep-beeeeeeeeep of it broke the spell, and I stopped dreaming. >:(
Anyway, as I said, I showered, dressed, and helped Mama around with breakfast and everything like all the rest of the days. Then we got in the car and went to the market. There (wow, I was so happy!) I found a skirt I had been looking for two years. A long, navy-blue denim skirt, long to the ground. I was so happy! I had accorded with Mama that since we didn't find one and I wanted one so much I would make it myself, and well, I had to find it one my birthday too! :)
So we went also to the library, and back home, and once there I changed to my new skirt. (a little after when one of my friends called and I told her about the skirt and that I was wearing it she exclaimed "So you did like it after all!" *laughs*)
But well, lets go back to the morning... Mama, as always when it's our birthday, declared that I had a free day! It's wonderful not to study on your birthday... :) So I played my flute for some time, and after that I went to check my mail and had three new messages wishing me a happy birthday ! I received more along the day, especially the one from my best friend! Love ya, Jey!!
And well, finally we had lunch, and we has stake! Yummy, I love stake. We also had pasta salad (delicious), and these kind of yummy food I like so much! *smile*
And during lunchtime I opened my presents! My parents' present, as most of you know, is a digital camera!! I had been asking for one since I was quite young, since I discovered photography. And I kind of liked it and I dreamed of being a photographer when I grew up (*smile*). Anyway, even tough it is no very probable of me to become one, I like photography anyway, and finally, I got a camera, and I won't bother my older sister anymore when I want a photo of something... *smile* Love you!!
Ay little brother gave me a lip-care. what I specially like from it is its smell... Oh, dear, I could easily eat it! It has such a sticky cherry smell that's quite irresistible! :)
My younger brother (who is younger than me but older than my little brother) gave me three cases with twelve leads for my mechanical-pencil. So, really, I have thirty-six leads in total!
I also got three pars of socks (with fruit prints on them) from Nina, and dot-stickers from Ian. Nina is a doll, and Ian is a teddy bear. :)
When my older siblings arrived from college I had two more presents!
My Wunnerful Sister (I kind of gotten into the habit of calling her this way *smile*) gave camouflage flip-flops. They are pink with splodges of grey and green all over them :) I am wearing the right now. They are very comfortable and useful, because I can't wear my fancy shoes in the house, and either can go bare-footed (which I have until now *smiles*), so what do I do? Wear flip-flops! The old ones are still very new, even though I used them a lot last summer (they are warm-weather wearing, you know), but I needed a pair for when I went on holidays (then they could stay on the caravan), and a pair to have in house. So my Wunnerful Sister had a great idea in giving them to me! *smiles*
My older brother (who is older than me but younger than my older sister) gave me a pair of headphones. Wendy sometimes lends me her Discman for when I want to listen to a little music, and my brother also needs headphones for himself, so we were always waiting for the other to finish with them s we could use them Until I wrote "Headphones" on my birthday list and he bought them for me. :)
Then friends began to call. The first one to call was my friend from Madrid. And with her, they gave me her present. That was the mysterious parcel they had been hiding until now!! We talked for about half ano hour or more (I didn't really count the time), and meanwhile I opened the parcel... :) there was SUCH a cute little frog in it!! It is a stuffed toy, and when you press its middle it croaks! :) In the parcel there was also a little blue wood box with a cute little girl on the top, which when I opened it I discovered that there was a very pretty necklace in it! :)
And The Twins phoned too! I talked to half an hour with each of them, both such a dears!! I love them very much, and they told me they had a present for me :) It's so nice to have loving friends... *sigh*
During the afternoon we watched "The Fox and the Hound". I like that film very much, it's so cute! In case you want to know a little bit about it, it's about a fox and a hound (really?? who would have said it!). Tod is the fox, and his mother was killed when he was a baby. Then an old lay that keeps a farm adopts him, and they live together. Copper is a hunting puppy. Both are best friends when they are puppies (I don't know how do you call a baby fox) they are best friends, but when they grow up, Copper becomes a real hound, and they can't be friends anymore for he should really hunt Tod. Then, understanding the danger the old widow takes Tod to a NO-HUNTING place (I don't remember how it's really called... OH, dear me, a hunting-restricted thing??, I don't know, sorry!), and Tod fins Bigsie, a female fox. (this HAD to happen!!)
But without wanting Tod had hurt Chief, Copper's friend and instructor in hunting (Chief's a dog), and Copper was mad at him and told him he would hunt him "If it was the last thing he would do!!"
So one day Copper and his master set out ignoring the NO-HUNT thing and try and hunt Tod, who wants to defend Bigsie (in case you didn't know, Tod and Bigsie are in love), and they run away to hide in their little hole, but while in one end Copper's master had set fire, in the other Copper and his master were waiting with the gun. So they had to go though the fire, and then they climbed a waterfall.
Then a grey bear attacks Copper and his master, and Tod goes to help them. Tod and the bear fall off the waterfall, and when (even thought he had saved his life!!) Copper's master was going to shoot him, Copper is noble and doesn't let him. And the film ends happily with Copper and Tod being friends, and Tod and Bigsie together again! *sniff*
We had a wonderful afternoon, and then I have to tell you that I have photos from my birthday, some taken with MY camera, others with Mama's. :)
When Papa arrived and the end of the day was coming, Mama shut me out of the kitchen and (with the rest of the family in, so I was all alone :[ ) I waited sitting on the sofa and reading a book I like very much called “Ben and Kit”. But then they called me, and I had to go to the kitchen. It was spooky: the lights were off, and I could see a dim light on something brown… A CHOCOLATE CAKE!!!!!!!!!! It had blue candles, red candles and yellow candles. Mummy calls that specific cake “Crazy Chocolate Cake”. Soooooo attracting! :) It had sugar flowers on it, lilac, pink, yellow ones, and there was only one white flower on the middle, which was for me! It looked so delicious!! I really enjoyed that cake. My brother made it… :)
THEN came the biggest WOW of the day! We were going to have supper at a Chinese restaurant! Some weeks ago I had told Mama why we didn't go anymore, and that I liked Chinese food so much and I wanted to go again, and I guess that's what made the think of giving me this big treat on my birthday! So we went, and had a wonderful time. Besides because the food is delicious, I like Chinese restaurants because on the walls (at least on the one that we go) they have a little representation of the Great Wall, and tanks with lots of exotic fish, and everything so nice! And guess what! I learned how to use Chinese sticks!! Wendy taught me how, and I still have them (I mean the Chinese sticks). they are very pretty, and I liked eating with them (although eating rice with them was VERY difficult!!) :) For dessert I had truffles... Yummy, I love them and they were SO cold!!
Then, at qaurter past ten they began to say, in five minutes it'll be your real birthday (because I was born at twenty minutes past ten p.m.), and so they waited. But we began to talk, and forgot about it! Then, I looked at my watch, and exclaimed, it's already twenty-five past!! My first fourteen-year-old kiss as to Mummy and from Mummy... and also my Papa, brothers and sister... She was sitting next to me. And then, well, we went home.
We came back quite late, but anyway, the fun hadn't ended. We all went outside the garden and burned sparklers!!! They were colour ones, so I burned a red sparkler and a green one. And the rest also burned diffrent ones. I like sparklers a lot, and we could "write on the darkness". :)
After that, we did go to bed.
And oh well, I had a wonderful time all the day and I am very happy, and I am FOURTEEN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

P.S.: By the way, yesterday wile I was sorting my presents out, a cat came up the window where Mummy has her plant (we are growing zucchinis, I think), and Mama run to the window because we didn't want the cat to break the plants. Normally we put food for them there, and the poor animal probably thought that they were food. But on her way to scare the cat away Mama hit a chair with her foot and broke a bone in it. :( Now she has a plaster, but please pray everything will heal properly. <:S

A Wonderful Weekend

AT LAST!!!!!!!!!!!! The silly computer worked!!
This wonderful weekend was wonderful because of our Uncle. Well, we hadn’t seen him for AGES!!!!!! He arrived home Friday afternoon, and left Sunday. Between these almost three days we’ve had splendid times. Friday afternoon, just before supper, Uncle played with Al at an OTHELLO game (at an OTHELLO game? NO SIR!!! Hundreds of OTHELLO games!!). I just sat there and helped Uncle a little because he didn’t know the game (he did wonderfully well, and he was winning me at a game he played with me=[), and from time to time I read pieces of “Tom Sawyer”, or whatever this book is called.
Then Saturday afternoon we went to the beach to skate. We didn’t skate AT the beach, but at a wonderfully smooth walk that’s just by the beach, just perfect for skating. Wendy preferred walking with the grown-ups, but Bro, Al, Jess and I skated. Bro with his skateboard, Al and I with roller skates (I skate since six. Al is still learning), and Jess with his scooter. My, that was so much fun!! We raced, laughed, cheered and were so happy!! We had a great time.
It was sad to see Uncle go. He’s such a jolly, wonderful person!!
